M&A Catering

Most of us have noticed the bacon sarnies on offer before matches on saturday (I have seen a number of us nailing quite a few of these before a game), and have enjoyed the lunches at BCC, not to mention the evening food. Well its all down to M&A Catering.

This season M&A Catering have proven to be the preferred supplier of food to BCC, not just on a saturday, but also for social events and even international fixtures at BCC.

M&A Catering aren’t just for BCC though, so if you have an event, or need catering for your own cricket games / socials, then drop M&A Catering a line or contact them through this blog / the BCC website. Not only do they provide great food, but also some great entertainment options, including the hiring of a cracking bouncy castle (which isnt just for the kids you know).

Matchplay & Peter Coe Semi Finals

Billericay Cricket Club are hosting the Matchplay semi-finals on Monday 15th August, and the Peter Coe semi-finals on the 22nd August. These are well attended events and provide some great Cricket to watch. In addition, the bar is always open so we can watch not just great cricket, but have a great social event (with a few drinks) too.

There should be food available (BBQ provided by M&A Catering), so drop in the club and enjoy some great cricket!

So you like football, you fancy yourself as a footie manager? Well now you can join in the fun this season in the Fantasy Premier League for BCC members.

If you aren’t playing the game, and you want to take on your fellow BCC members managerial abilities,  then you can register at http://fantasy.premierleague.com.

Once you have logged in and entered your team, click on the ‘Leagues’ link at the top of the page. On the Leagues page:

1. Select the ‘Join a league’ option

2. Choose private league

3. Now enter the code 337780-97003 to join the private league.

Presidents Day: 24th July

This years Presidents day is on Sunday the 24th July. There will be a 40 overs match, with some surprises, between members of the club who have in someway helped with the running of the club this season.

We strongly recommend that everyone who can, gets down the club for a fun day, relax, enjoy the cricket and have a couple of drinks in the bar.

The teams will be annouced around 12:30 with play starting around 13:00. The second session of play will start at 16:30 followed by drinks and some laughs back in the bar. There will also be a presentation around 20:30 with some words from the President, Eddy Thomson, and a BBQ running through the evening.

Blog touch-up

Sorry I haven’t had much time to get more updates running on the website (there are still so many features left to implement). However, I have been able to spend some time and get the blog design updated. It’s a bit more funky to say the least, and I have now added a number of widgets that also link us to Facebook….

I am also thinking of getting a twitter stream up and running, so am looking for a few volunteers who would be able to post the odd tweet, which will then obviously get filtered onto our website (once I add that feature), and our blog. Volunteers will have to have permission from the EMC to post content; it won’t be a free for all. But, I do think it will be good on match days, so that captains or people at the games can tweet and keep us all updated with the teams progress.

Finally, who is the admin of the facebook page? Does anyone know? I would like to be able to add myself and no doubt a few other people to the administration list of that page (if possible).

International Cricket at BCC

Australia v India Womens match at Billericay Cricket Club

An international match is being held at Billericay Cricket Club on Thursday the 23rd June. The match is Australia v India ladies and should be a great spectacle.

It’s a great chance to get to see some international cricket so we strongly advise you all to get down there if you can. The game is set to start at 10:45am

Billericay Bowtime v Brentwood Buccaneers 03/06

Friday 3rd June sees Billericay Bowtime host the Brentwood Buccaneers in the T20 league. The game starts at 6pm with a BBQ on the go and of course the bar is open.

So get down to BCC and enjoy a fine evening of T20 cricket, support the Bowtime…
